MIRAGES OF HER.

Updated: Dec 11, 2018

to that girl with a broken smile..

sometimes i see her sitting in the corner of a coffee shop, mindlessly flipping through the pages of the worn out book in her hands. her eyes looks weary, her hands are wrinkled, she looks tired. it's as if like life is getting a way in her..

sometimes i see her in a lobby of some airport, her hands are as white as paper, tightly clutched in her luggage as if her life depends on it. oblivious of her surrounding, trying very hard to hold the tears in her eyes. she looks desperate. she sits there for hours, lost in the crowd, and then in her ripped jeans, she leaves.

other times, i saw her sitting on the stair in front of some random house, she's barefooted, her body is trembling, and her hands are shaking. she was pushing her body against the wall, desperately wanting to fit in that tiny corner of that stair. she was hiding, she was mumbling, though she didn't utter a clear word, in her young eyes, it looks like she's drowning.

and every now and then, i passed by her. sometimes she's riding a bike in a busy street of some random country absorbed and mesmerized. sometimes, sitting on the edge of some pink couch in the corner of a room, devastated and broken. other time, she's sitting in a bus, staring at the folder in her hands, looking completely lost it. and other times, standing in a balcony of some random building, looking like she's waving a final goodbye.

but not too long ago i saw her again, in the middle of the park near a beautiful lake. she was sitting on a bench, obliviously watching someone catching a fish, she looks as though it's her first time to feel the sunlight on her face, her eyes lit up every now and then when the fisherman catches his fish, and from time to time she'll look up in the sky, catch her breath and feel the breeze. she looks more than okay..

to that girl, i think she's finally getting a hang of it....
